Event results
A nice spring day in Wellington (a rare thing!) - plenty of sun and a bit of a breeze.
This relaxed club race is a fun event, with teams picked on the day to try to produce teams as even as possible. This year the course was slightly different again, with last year's climb up to Makara Road now a construction site. It still included the step and rugged climb and descent at the back of the course.
The first runner in each team did one short circuit, the second one long circuit, the third and fourth two long circuits each, and the fifth runner three long circuits. Note however some teams had two runners doing one circuit each of the first two-circuit lap. (This was taken into account in the team selection.)
And this year the results were close, with the lead swapping a number of times during the race. In the end, Roshit's team was the clear winner by over half a minute, with the next six places all very close -- all finishing within a minute and a half of each other.
In the results below, the 'lap place' column is the ranking amongst all runners who did that number of circuits.
