Event results
We had a slightly different course this year as some of the bush paths that we used to follow have overgrown too much. Instead we had an additional hill climb in each lap up to Makara Road.
We had nine teams of five runners in each team, chosen on the day to try to produce even results.
The five runners ran different distances: the runner 1 ran a short lap, runner 2 ran a full lap, runners 3 and 4 ran two full laps, and runner 5 ran three full laps.
The race had an exciting finish with four middle teams all finishing within just over half a minute of each other. However Martin's team was the clear winner after a scorching two-lap run from Barry Prosser that took the team from 4th to 1st. The top finish was Andrew resenting being passed by Mike in the last 100m - where did that sprint come from?!
