Event results
The Perston Baton relay is a fun way to finish the harrier season (except for the national road relay).
This year we had four teams of one walker and four runners. The walkers did one lap each and the runners did one, two or three laps each. As usual, the walkers went first and the first runner of all teams started when the first walkers cross the line. Runners can run in any order.
Teams were selected by Joe to be as even as possible. As a result, the first three teams finished within 15 seconds, with Mike (team 4, first) overtaking Chris (team 4, second) in the final 200m and Paul (team 1, third) rapidly closing in. Team 2 was a few minutes back in fourth.
