The PNP Cycling Club are running their annual Hawkins Hill Climb Challenge on Sunday 10th April 2011.
This is a 480m human elevation challenge that you can enter as a Runner, Road Rider or Mountain Biker. There is no handicap for any class.
Runners are out to win the teams event this year, so a good turn-out is required.
Venue: Happy Valley Park, Happy Valley Road (1km up from Owhiro Bay beach)
Times: Sign-in 8.30-9.30, race start 10.30

- The Whittaker's chocolate walk - Starts at 12 noon on the road in front of the field, 6km ($2 per walker entry fee will be collected at the start)
- The Youngsters' race - open to athletes 13 years and under. There are three start times: boys and girls 9 and under: 1.30; boys and girls 11 and under: 1.50; boys and girls 13 and under: 2.10. Distance is 2km over a shortened lap of the main relay course. Boys and girls start together. Age for youngsters' race is age on 31 December 2011.
- The University Relay - 6 grades; Men's 19 and under; Women's 19 and under; Men's Open; Women's Open; Men's Vet (40 plus); Women's Vet (35 plus). Relay teams comprise of 4 persons, approx 3.5km laps. Starts at 2.30pm with all grades to start together.
