The rain passed over leaving pretty good conditions tonight for the first of the Olympic Twilight 5k series. Sister event to the Scottish series with which we will for a few weeks share alternate weeks.
Great to have the support of Scottish at tonights event, thanks guys!
I've often thought that the southerly is harder than a northerly on this course and a few running tonight will probably agree however there were a few people talking PBs so well done to you if you are in this category.
Our Winner tonight was Brian Garmonsway in 16:26, that's a pretty sharp time. Axel Tie kept up his good form with a solid 17:00 for second. First woman was Victoria Sugden, oh so close to that magic 4min/km pace in 20:01 (who's counting 1 second!) - well done Victoria.
The walkers were lead home by Michael Walton also a sharp time of 27:22 first woman walker was Terri Grimmett. The wind can't have been too bad then!
See you all again in a fortnight.
