Event results
The Wellington Mountain Running Champs returned in 2021 after being cancelled in 2020. The course was similar to the 2019 course, with a change to the out-and-back extension. The conditions were hot and muggy with passing showers.
We had a slightly smaller turnout than two years ago, when the race was also the NZ mountain running champs, but still had plenty of great results, including gold medals for Deb Lynch (SW), Max Doherty (MU16), Thomas White (MU18), Jan Sheppard (W50) and Sheryne Coverdale (W60).
Olympic won both the King Club of the Mountain and Queen Club of the Mountain for overall results in Men's and Women's grades, and was fifth in the Prince and Princess Club of the Mountain for children's grades.
