This is a fantastic event run annually where the whole of the New Zealand harrier fraternaty get together and race for the prestige of their club and the enjoyment of road racing. The relays are the team side of what is usually a solo sport and as such they are great fun so please give strong consideration to being a part of a team.
Grades involved are: Men, Women, Masters Men 40+, Masters Women 35+, Open Masters 50+, Men 19 and under, Women 19 and under (Juniors must be - 14 years and over as at 31st December 2005)
Teams are: 8 lap teams - Senior and Master, 6 lap teams - Men/Women 19 and under

TOTAL IRRIGATION Ltd. PENTATHLONS
Total Irrigation (TIL), who previously sponsored the “Rainbird Relays” have agreed to sponsor a Pentathlon Meeting, being organised by the Wellington Harrier Athletic Club, and the Centre Track & Field Committee.
The meeting is being held next Saturday (5 November) at Newtown Park. It will begin with Children’s events in the morning, and progress through the age grades, and into the College, Open and Master’s grades in the afternoon.
Pentathlon Events For 7 to 11 years the events will be:
60m, Quoit, 200m
Vortex, Long Jump
For 12 & 13 years, College grades and open, the events will be:
200m, Discus, Long Jump
Javelin, 1500m
All grades will throw the weights of implement appropriate for their grade.
Scoring and certificates
We will attempt to record all times and distances, and record standard Pentathlon points for them.
The sponsor will supply certificates for every participant completing all 5 events.
Prizes
Team prizes will be offered for some 4 person teams which aggregate significant 4 person totals over the five events. (Given the likely number of grades we can’t offer a team prize for every male and female grade!)

9.00 a.m. - 7 & 8 Years 10.00 a.m. - 9 Years
11.00 a.m. - 10 & 11 Years 12.00 - 12 years
1.00 p.m. - 14 and under 1.30 p.m. - Track Walk (open)
