Saturday, 4 Jan 2014, 10:00 to 16:00: Lovelock Classic [athletics], Timaru

The Lovelock Classic will be held on 4 January 2014. The day will begin with a children’s programme from 10am to 12noon, then the Lovelock Classic will commence at 1pm with the Lovelock Mile, finishing at approx 4pm with prize giving. The meeting will use two long jump pits and two shot put circles, one junior circle for 7-9yrs and one for older children.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMME 10.00am
Junior Athletes do not need to pre-register, register on the day, registration fee $5.00.
Correct Club Uniforms, Club Registration Numbers and Age Patches must be worn at all times.

Fees: Meeting Registration Fee $10.00: Each event $5.00: Relays no event fee: Method of Registration will be advised at a later date.
Entries to be received no later than 20 December 2013. Late registrations will only be accepted if there is space available, and will incur a late registration fee of $20.00.
Entries will not be confirmed until payment has been made.
Age grade athletes will be placed in age division unless a request is made to the Meeting Director through the entry form
If using own implements for throwing, implements must be calibrated by 12 noon.
Athletes must sign in at Registration Room on arrival, to collect Competition Number, and programme.
All Athletes must wear either correct Club Uniform or Sponsorship Gear, no civvies to be competed in.

The Aurora 5k Series is held each Wednesday at 6.30pm from Mid Nov to Mid March - start outside "The Mill" Liquor outlet on Kenepuru Drive - just along from McDonalds Porirua. Registration at McDonalds from 5.45pm.

The 5k Series is for Runners & Walkers of all abilities - for the Competitive Racers and for the Social Jogger/Walker.

There are prizes galore from sponsors -

Olympic Harriers and other bulk levy club registered athletes: pre-enter for all events online at http://www.athleticswellington.org.nz/ by 8pm Thursday prior to the meet at no charge. On the day entries must be made at the meeting offices at least 30 minutes before the scheduled event start at a cost of $5 per club registered athlete.

Non-club athletes: $5 for online pre-entry by 8pm Thursday prior to the meet (to be paid on the day of competition) or $10 on the day at least 30 minutes before the scheduled event start time.

A great run with an easy gradient up to the Korokoro dam. Then the decision needs to be made as to where to go after this. Alternatives are: Oakleigh Street, Belmont Trig or straight back.
