Join us in Titahi Bay for a free handicapped race to celebrate the end of the harrier season and to commemorate Bernie Portenski. While Bernie was a staunch Scottish member, she trained with and supported many members from other clubs. The overall winner on handicap will hold the Bernie Portenski Memorial Trophy for a year.
Lifestyle Sports was a long-time supporter of Bernie and her running exploits. It is donating two pairs of shoes and ten $20 vouchers as prizes towards the event.
We assemble at St Timothy's Presbyterian Church, 16 Te Pene Ave, Titahi Bay from about 1:30pm.
Post-race we return to the church hall for an afternoon tea and prize-giving.

There are plenty of loops to run with great views across Cook Strait, old gun emplacements to explore, and there's even mobs of goats to run through. Based on last year's trip you can even rest up on the beach while Michelle tries to take a short cut by climbing straight up a cliff!
We will have running and walking groups for all ages and abilities. This is a great place to take the kids exploring.
Head to the café at Makara Beach afterwards for refreshments.
