Black and gold meets are for all age groups from college age and above. The grades are Masters, Senior, Junior (U20), Youth (U18) and Under 16. Black and Gold programmes will normally cater for athletes from grade 14 up in terms of throwing implement weights, hurdle heights etc. However once the interprovincial training squads are formed we will cater for grade 12 up for any athlete wishing to gain more competition.

Onepoto Domain, Titahi Bay, 1:45pm
This week we have a run around the coast at Titahi Bay. It is a top spot -- meet in the carpark at the rowing club on the lagoon just before you turn into Titahi Bay.
"...afterwards (for those who wish to) we will be going back to our place at 3 Marua Place, Ranui Heights, Porirua, for a few drinks and nibbles. Later that evening for those who want to hang around there will be a few more drinks and a BBQ on offer as a birthday celebration (mine) and that will end when everybody leaves. Cheers Miles"
Andrew Begbie has a new house! 7 Gennaker Lane, Whitby, 1:45pm
He has finally unpacked, brought a lawnmower, blown a fuse and feels settled in, so it’s time to celebrate.
To kick off the house warming he's hosting Olympic Harriers summer pack run/walk from his new pad. If you’re feeling athletic come along for 2pm for the run otherwise drop in from 4pm. The plan is it’s a BYO drinks BBQ and bring a plate and aim to eat around 6:30 – 7pm.
A mix of children's, senior and junior races, shot put, long jump fun social events and serious 'elite' races. Highlights include the mile races which are only rarely raced these days. The mile races including elite men's and women's races and an all-comers mile that anyone can participate in (including Father Christmas).
New for this year: a barbecue and a 4x100m relay.
Entry is a $5 donation to the Wellington Neonatal Trust which helps families at the time of birth.
Back to the clubrooms for this week's pack run/walk.
A low-key post-Christmas run from the clubrooms.
The run has a bit of climbing in it - with views back across the harbour - but pretty easy otherwise. About 10km, with options for walkers to nip back sooner if they want to.
