Black and gold meets are for all age groups from college age and above. The grades are Masters, Senior, Junior (U20), Youth (U18) and Under 16. Black and Gold programmes will normally cater for athletes from grade 14 up in terms of throwing implement weights, hurdle heights etc. However once the interprovincial training squads are formed we will cater for grade 12 up for any athlete wishing to gain more competition.
If you are a registered member of a club it's free to compete if you pre enter online (as clubs contribute to the bulk funding of Newtown Park). You must enter by 8pm the Thursday prior to each Saturday meet. If you enter on the day you pay $5 at the registration desk one hour prior to your event start time.

A flat 10km which uses the Hutt Valley Marathon Clinic's function room at Huia Indoor Swimming Pool as a base. An out and back course.
The race starts outside Sacred Heart College, travels down Bellevue Road, turns left into Ludlum Crescent, then into Puriri Street along to the end, left into Pohutakawa Street and continues along past the Waterloo Interchange into Oxford Terrace. There is also a 5km option.
Masters: 35 years and older; pre-masters: 30 years and older. Non-Wellington Masters Association members welcome.
Cost is $15 for non-WMA members, $10 for 10km (members), $5 for 5km (members). No late fee.

The Gully Gutbuster is designed for the whole family and caters for all fitness levels. Participants will enjoy a 5 or 10 kilometre Fun Run/Walk through the beautiful Seton Nossiter Park, the surrounding streets of Newlands and Paparangi and finish back on the Paparangi School grounds in Beazley Ave, Paparangi.
