A series of six races.

Start time: 6:15 - all walkers, 5km runners (>30min), 2.5km runners; 6.30pm - 5km runners

Venue: Trentham United Harriers & Walkers Clubrooms, Trentham Memorial Park, Barton Rd, Trentham, Upper Hutt

Registration from 5:30pm at the clubroooms

Cost: $5 per race

Times and events to follow but the throws will be held at the Sola Power Throwing Academy, Cnr Randwick Road and Whites Line East, Lower Hutt

Penultimate Summer Pack Run; this week we'll be running the Capital Punishment course to check the route before the event on Sunday.

Wellington Junior Athletics Champs (Day 1)

A killer hill-climb event for only the toughest runners! Starting and finishing at the top of Truscott Avenue in Johnsonville, this event takes in a loop around Old Coach Road and Mt Kaukau. It includes the longest and steepest hill climb in Wellington: the access road up Mt Kaukau – a 280m climb over 2.5km, a gradient of 11%. Prizes will be given for the race winners, and for the “King of Kaukau” and “Queen of Kaukau” for the fastest climb times. There is also a walking section.

Entries:

Bulk levy club registered athletes (including Olympic Harriers members): pre-enter for all events online at www.athleticswellington.org.nz by 8pm Thursday prior to the meet at no charge. On the day entries must be made at the meeting office at least 30 minutes before the scheduled event start at a cost of $5 per club registered athletes.

Non-club athletes: $5 for online pre-entry by 8pm Thursday prior to the meet (to be paid on the day of competition) or $10 on the day at least one hour before the scheduled event start time.

Last summer pack run before the winter calendar starts. 

Meet at the boat club, Onepoto Road, on the corner as you turn to go to Titahi Bay, ready to leave at 2pm.
