Twilight 5k Series - Race 3, Queens Wharf Tuesday, 15 December 2009

A light southerly breeze was appreciated by the 126 strong field tonight in the third of our Olympic Twilight 5k series, run in conjunction with the Brooks Waterfront 5k events.

Those watching had a real treat to see Kate McIlroy beat the womens course record and set a new standard of 16:26, an outstanding run. Fastest male runner was again Brian Garmonsway this week just ducking under the 16 minute mark. First female walker home was Terri Grimmett in 30:42 and first male walker, Tim Dutton in 29:21. Well done to all of you who competed tonight where we saw 40 personal bests for the season.

11 people who had entered all 14 races to date received Brooks prize packs, 3 to the value of $200 and 8 to the value of $100.
