Official results Fun/mass participation event open to non-registered competitors

It was nearly perfect weather for running a 5k. While the temperature might have been a little warm for some, at least there was no wind to speak of. Unfortunately such perfect conditions for running are also perfect conditions for a leisurely stroll around the waterfront. This meant considerable weaving was required by those of a less leisurely persuasion and consequently a greater distance covered. However the good weather did attract a very good field of 147 runners, many of whom ran season's best times despite the congestion.

Todd Stevens with a time of 17:08, maintained his consistent form for 2013 but today he was fastest over the distance. Cathal Reilly with 17:19 and newcomer, Michiel Kallenberg with 17:30 were the next fastest. The fastest women were Jackie Mexted (18:23), Tineke Berthelsen (19:02) and Deborah Lynch (19:07). John Roskvist with 31:36 led the walkers home and Daphne Jones with 37:45 narrowly beat Andrea Adams (37:57) the fastest woman.

Thanks to the Olympic Harriers team of Colleen, Ele, Michelle, Tim, Graeme, Murray and Mark for officiating.
