Twilight 5k Series - Race 7, Queen's Wharf Tuesday, 1 March 2011

Ben Bibbly (16.45) and Emily Solsberg (19.10) were the leading runners in tonight's Twilight 5k/Lifestyle Sports Waterfront 5k. John Roskvist (30.53) and Terri Grimmett (31.59) lead the walkers home. 84 competitors enjoyed fine but windy conditions, and had to contend with course changes to avoid waterfront activity.

A big thanks to our sponsors - in particular Lifestyle Sports for the weekly gift voucher and Chicago Sports Cafe for the free drink afterwards and bar tabs as spot prizes.

NOTICE OF 10K RACE: next week on 8 March we will hold a 10k race in conjunction with the usual 5k. The 10k will start at 5.30pm (although please contact Todd if you expect to take longer than 50min, as we will schedule an earlier start for you) and comprise 2 laps of the current 5k course. Entry fee still just $7. So for everyone that has been asking for a fast, accurate 10k: here is your chance. Mark it in your diary now.
