Mike Wakelin finished first in 50:31, less than a minute outside Wayne Atkin’s course record of 49:38. Second place was Sean Butler of Wainuiomata, 6 minutes back in 56:55, and Greg Thurlow from Scottish was third, another half minute later in 57:27.
