Event results
The Land Rover Tussock Traverse is a 27km run or walk. The course begins approximately 6km up the Tukino Road in the Rangipo Desert (entrance off the Desert Road, SH1) with a long hard climb straight up. From there it’s a mixture of rock hopping, lava field, desert, alpine track (the views are amazing), and beech forest before finishing beside the Chateau Tongariro in Whakapapa for a well earned rest.
A couple of Borlases in this year’s results: Butch (7th, 2:24) and Brigid (95th, 3:18)
