Event results
Olympic had five athletes competing at the NZ Secondary School Athletics and Road Racing Champs in Timaru on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of December.
Susannah Lynch won another NZ title coming first in the Year 9 Road Race event. This year she has also won the NZ Secondary Schools' Year 9 Cross Country title and the Athletics NZ U14 Club Cross Country title. She also ran a PB in the Junior 1500m final coming 4th in 4:54.17. She has two more years in this age group.
Sophie Pepperell came 6th in the junior road race, after having run a PB in the 1500m heats the day before of 5:00.59. She came 8th today in the final.
Other Olympic athletes competing in the Road Race events included Deborah Lynch who finished 16th and Sean McCrudden 35th (Seniors), Aaron Lynch 45th and Alex Hooft 46th (Juniors).
