Event results
The Inter-Regional Cross-country was held in Nelson on 24 September 2009. A team of 78 runners under the guidance of Graham Tattersall represented the Wellington Region at this annual event. Some outstanding results were achieved with the team winning 5 gold , 2 silver and 1 bronze in the individual events and 1 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze in the teams events. Although all runners gave their best in what was very cold, wet, challenging conditions it was not enough to retain the Phil Costley Shield. Our congratulations to the Canterbury team for their all round team effort.
