Twilight 5k Series - Race 7, Queens Wharf, Wellington Tuesday, 28 February 2006

Great night for the last event of the series a good turnout and some good racing.

Tim Hodge came out for some speed work in his build up for the World Junior Cross Country Champs and showed everyone a clean pair of heels with a very solid 16:04 followed by Grant McLean who was chasing very hard over the last lap in 16:41.

The walkers were led in again by Michael Lane in 30mins flat.

Also tonight was the draw for the Mountain Bike, provided by Burkes Cycles, which was presented to Paul Crompton. Paul was one of 7 competitors who entered and completed all 7 events in the Twilight 5k Series.

Thank you all for your support over the series. If you are interested in continuing your running with the friends you have made over this series please consider trying harriers. The Olympic Club meets at top field Alex Moore Park, Bannister Avenue, Johnsonville every Saturday at 1:45pm for pack runs or walks (all year) The Official season opening will be 25 April with Juniors starting 1 week earlier on 18 March. We would love to see you!!!
