This race is also known as "Barry's Race": Olympic life member Barry Prosser has won the master's grade eleven times, and the open grade twelve times (or perhaps more - there are some years missing in the results). It could also be described as the "Prossers' Race", with more than one Prosser winning their respective grades multiple times (and three Prossers winning in 1999!)
