The national duathlon champs were held in Feilding with titles for age grades and school categories.
Olympic member Elaine Brent was first in the F20-24 grade of standard distance event (10km run, 40km bike, 5km run) and was 3rd overall female with a time of 2:08:23. Susannah Lynch (St Mary's College) won the U14 Girls title. She completed the 2.5km run, 10km bike and 2.5km run in 35:53, 49 seconds ahead of second placegetter Alice McFall of Aquarius College.
Deborah Lynch was 6th in the schools female U19 category, and Aaron Lynch was 21st in the schools male U16 category.
