Event results

Another beautiful day for a run, with just the lightest of northerlies to help cool things off a bit on the return journey. 118 runners turned out to compete on a slightly changed course owing to the access through Waitangi Park being blocked off. The route was altered to pass in front of the old Telecom building and the turn around was moved further up the road. Because of the weather the number of pedestrians on route was also up resulting in a bit of weaving for most.



Michiel Kallenberg made it two in a row with a time of 17:00. He was closely followed by Peter Kelley in 17:04 and Emilien Bordet was some distance back in third with a time of 17:57. In the women it was very close between Sophie Lee (20:06) in the late start and Michelle Allison (20:08) in the early wave. Bernie Portenski, also in the early wave was third in 20:18. Fraser Samson was again the fastest walker with a time of 33:47 and Daphne Jones was the fastest woman walker with 38:38.
