Event results
102 competitors fronted for Race 6 of the Twilight 5k series/Race 27 in the Lifestyle Sports Waterfront 5k series. Fine weather and a moderate southerly wind made for reasonable racing conditions, with a lot of competitors recording their best time so far in the series.
Walking machines Tim Dutton (28min 7sec) and Terri Grimmett (31min 40sec) won the men's and women's walk respectively. Leading all the runners home was Stuart Grange in a time of 16min 12sec, a 12sec improvement from 2 weeks ago. Mandy Simpson recorded her first win of the series, winning the women's section in a time of 20min 19sec.

NOTICE OF 10K RACE: on 8 March there will be a 10k race in conjunction with the usual 5k. The 10k will start at 5.30pm and comprise 2 laps of the current 5k course. Entry fee still just $7. So for everyone that has been asking for a fast, accurate 10k: here is your chance. Mark it in your diary now.
