Event results
On Sunday, several of our club members took on the inaugural Kapiti "Run The Coast" Half Marathon. They set off north from Paraparaumu Beach and hit the trails up and down the Waikanae River, before looping around the lagoon and returning via the boardwalks and tracks winding through the Estuary. A lovely scenic run in a testing northerly with muggy conditions and occasional showers. Great results achieved on the day from Anita Tan, Jennie Alderton-Moss (PB), Denise Pilcher and our podium finishers Lucy Jurke (1st in Age Grade - a brilliant result for her 1st Half), Cathy Alderton (1st in AG), Bridget Kiddle (1st SW), Adrian Jurke (3rd in AG) and Max O'Kane (3rd in AG). Logan Hopfler - 2nd overall in 10km (1st in AG) and Ruth Humble powered through her recovery run/walk programme to finish 2nd in AG in the 10 km event. Nice work team!
