Event results

A good turnout from the club for the Wellington marathon and half marathon. The weather was cool with a brisk southerly. The marathoners started in light drizzle, but the road was dry by the time the half marathon started. Overall, the conditions were good.



The event was also the New Zealand and Wellington half marathon champs. Well done to Butch (nearly a PB) and Nic who are the new national champs in their age grades. Also Mike took home a medal for third in his grade, in his first half marathon in twelve years. Olympic was third in the women's club competition (behind Scottish and Wellington Harriers), and fourth in the men's club competition (behind Scottish, Auckland City and Wellington Harriers).
