Masters’ Road Race, Jonsonville Sunday, 28 July 2002
The Masters Road Race, organised each year by Olympic’s Brian Watson, is held on a hilly 1.6km circuit in Johnsonville. Runners do 5 laps to complete 8km, while walkers do four laps for 6.4km.
First runner was Chris Speakman of Olympic, ahead of Scottish’s Peter Wrigley. First walker was Brenda Burke, ahead of Robert Bennett, both of Scottish.
First team (four to count) was Scottish on 32 points, followed by Olympic on 37 points and Trentham United on 56 points.
