Twilight 5k Series - Race 7, Queens Wharf Tuesday, 2 March 2010
It felt quite humid for the the event tonight but the threatened rain stayed away and the stiff north north wester blowing kept all the entrants from overheating. Any personal best times, of which there half a dozen or so, were very well earned tonight!
Thomas Bridgeman was the first male runner home with a 16:41 time that matched that of Brian Garmonsway who won race 6 in the series two weeks ago. He was pushed to the line by Mathew Rogers just one second behind. Steph Pearson of Lake City was first woman runner in with a time of 19:04. First male walker was Tim Dutton with a time of 28:39 and Terri Grimmett first woman walker with 31:42. Very consistent performances from both of these people.
We hope you enjoyed the event. We have certainly enjoyed seeing your efforts and the many successes you have achieved over the series.
We look forward to the next series of events in the 2010/11 summer.
