Kaukau Skyline Traverse/NZ Mountain Running Champs, Johnsonville Saturday, 18 April 2026

Harriers National event

This was the third running of the Olympic-organised Kaukau Skyline Traverse event, this time also incorporating the New Zealand Mountain Running Champs.

The weather was pretty awful with very strong winds across the top, but luckily most of the rain held off until after the event.

Olympic was also "Club of the Mountain" (117 points), ahead of Scottish (103 points) and Trentham United (88 points). Club of the mountain is determined by points given to the top 6 male and top 6 female places across all grades (up to 3 per grade).

Thanks to the race organisers and all the volunteers who made this event successful.
