Brendon Blacklaws was the only club member to compete at the recent New Zealand track champs in Wanganui and he did the club proud.

He was competing in the 16 and under age group. Brendon still has another year to compete in this age group so he was competing with kids at least a year his senior.

In the 3000 meters he placed 8th in a PB of 9.05

But it was in the 2000 meters steeples that he showed his real worth, placing 2nd in 6.17 for the silver medal. This was another PB by 21 seconds. Not far short of 3 minute ks over steeples awesome!
