Wellington Masters - Track and Field 2022 14 Jan 2022.

Ever thought about track events?  These can be fun and a good way to sharpen before the winter season.  Highlights below are two championships on your doorstep.  There are distances from 60m to 5000m and everything in between, including steeplechase 😊

Wellington Champs - Feb 12th and 13th 2022, at Newtown Park - Entries close 11.59pm Monday 7th February.

As a pre-requisite to NZMA Champs, masters athletes are eligible to compete in the Wellington Regional Champs - see Programme and Entry

48th New Zealand Masters Track and Field Championships are being held in Wellington this year 11-13 March 2022 - Standard Entries Close 18th February with late from 25th February 2022.

Anyone can compete as long as you are an ANZ member or Wellington Masters member; so, all full membership Olympic Harriers 35 years and over can enter.

The NZ Masters Track & Field Championships are open to entry for all members with no qualifying performance thresholds. As with all master’s championships, there is a high level of camaraderie.

Peter Hanson, Olympic Harrier member, is an avid Track and Field master competitor well into his 80s, so have a chat with him if you want an insight into the champs. As well as running, Peter also throws and jumps.

Take a look at the entry details which also include past results.

All Track and Field Races require spectators, officials, and competitors to hold a Covid Vaccine Pass.
