Pack run/walk from the club rooms, 5 September, 1:45
Time to dust off the trophies you carried away last year, give them a rub and a polish, and bring them back to the clubrooms so they can go to new homes.  Treat it as a chance to relive those glory days after the pack run.

A wee ammendment to the results from the Road Champs -- Alisha Gilchrist was second U18 woman, apologies for missing that.  I also realise I haven't caught up with results from Tauranga Champs - another reason to come along on Saturday and catch up on the news.

 

Kids Cross Country Series - event 5, 6 September, WHAC Clubrooms, Mt Victoria, 09:00 to 12:30

The first of the two races that round out the club events for the year.  A team race -- everyone competes for their team. Meet at the clubrooms for selection of teams, then the race will be around a new course based on Alex Moore Park track.  That's good news cos it makes it so much easier to get back for the afternoon tea that follows -- please bring a plate.

The week after that we have the Perston Baton relay at Karori, which is another event catering for all with a reange of distances.

National Road Relays are coming up in Christchurch on 3 Oct 
It is the 75th anniversary and it is a blast running from the edge of town over the Port Hills to Akaroa.  We have accommodation lined up but the places are not unlimited -- contact Brian Rusbridge Brian.Rusbridge@nzct.org.nz to sort things out. Start looking for flights now - there is as much competition in finding the cheapest flight as there is in the race itself!
