Club and Wellington Road Champs, Sat 22 August, Resevoir Road, Wainuiomata, women 12:30, men 1:00

Main details are to remember your timing chip, and note the time of your race, and of course remember these are doubling as the Club Champs - we will have medals again for the road champs (like we did for cross country), but we are going to hand these out at the Philip Shield (club event) on Saturday 12 September with an afternoon tea after that event. 

• 12:30pm-  5k 1 loop of 1k 2 loops of 2k :  Masters Women 50+ Junior Women U20 Youth Women U18 Women and Men (5K nonchamp)
•  1:10pm - 3k 1 loop of 1k 1 loop of 2k :   Girls U15 Boys U15
•  1:30pm - 1k 1 loop of 1k :   Girls U9 Boys U9
•  1:40pm - 10k 5 loops of 2k :   Open Women Masters Women 35 - 49, 8k 4 loops of 2k Junior Men U20 6k 3 loops of 2k Youth Men U18
•  2:40pm - 2k 1 loop of 2k :   Girls U11 Boys U11
•  2:55pm - 2k 1 loop of 2k :  Girls U13 Boys U13
•  3:10pm - 10k 5 loops of 2k :  Open Men Masters Men 40-49 Masters Men 50-59 Masters Men 60+

 

Kids Cross Country at Grenada last week

I didn't see the races myself but like others was pleased to see a nice writeup on the inside back page of the local Herald.  Well done all who competed and also to those who helped make it all happen. Hope those who were not there due to the lurgy that is going around are recovering fast.

National Road Relays are coming up in Christchurch on 3 Oct 

It is the 75th anniversary and it is a blast running from the edge of town over the Port Hills to Akaroa.  We have accommodation lined up but the places are not unlimited -- contact Brian Rusbridge Brian.Rusbridge@nzct.org.nz to sort things out. Start looking for flights now - there is as much competition in finding the cheapest flight as there is in the race itself!
