Weekly Newsletter: 18 April Club Day 14 Apr 2015.

A great weekend to start the official season!  Results from the Maiden and Perston are here  http://www.olympicharriers.nz/results/event.php?eid=1133. Some people doubled up either for the first Sunday run at the Club rooms or for the Grand Traverse in Porirua on Sunday.  This week we have...

Club Day, Bannister Ave, Saturday 18th April,  1:45pm

The focus tho' is turning to the Shaw Baton relays at Battle Hill the week after (ANZAC day).  It's the club's main effort for the year and a short, but "real", cross country course.  We want a big turn out of both racers and helpers.
Full details are on the website (http://www.olympicharriers.nz/listcalendar/?eid=2636), but your job – yes, I am talking to you – is to put your name down with the grade organiser for the race you are in.

Please do it now -- yes, I mean now, as in before reading the next email!

Sunday after ANZAC day is a movie night organized by Miles and Sheryne.  Only $15 for Chariots of Fire + nibbles and wine all at the wee private cinema in Lyall Bay.   Bring a friend or your long suffering partner -- this is running without having to sweat.  See the separate email, the club news on the website, or just contact sheryne-miles@xtra.co.nz.

A reminder club registrations are open.  Go to the website or if you are impatient you can go straight here: https://memberdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main&OrgID=10499 The key thing to remember if you were a member last year is to login with your old details -- there are instruction on the registration page.  Get in quick and your time for Shaw Baton will be taken by the stopwatch with fresh batteries...
