New course for the Maiden and Perston races 15 Apr 2013.

Here we go - this Saturday afternoon we have the Maiden and Perston races to kick off our cross country season!

Please note due to the weather we have a new venue for this year, at Onslow College (Burma Road, Johnsonville. Or use the pedestrian entrance on Bannister Ave.)

Meet in main car park in the centre of Onslow College. The start and finish lines will be along side.

Course 1: the short course for the kids is about 800m long and includes the middle field - and a bit more.

Course 2: the long course (both the Maiden and Perston Memorial races) will be two laps (nominally 1.1km per lap), and will include the top sports field and the path to John Sims Drive. The Maiden for for those who have never won a harriers race before (either for fastest time or on handicap); the Perston Memorial is for those who have won a race before.

These courses are not suitable for spikes!

Schedule: the kids race will be as soon as possible after 2pm (be ready to race at 2pm!), followed immediately by the Maiden and then the Perston Memorial.

And don't forget, after the races there is an afternoon tea at the clubrooms (please bring a plate).
