Wellington Road Championships - 18 August 13 Aug 2012.
We are now full swing into the road season. This Saturday is the Wellington Road Champs -- at the Wainuiomata course for the runners, and at Trentham for the walkers.
The event doubles as our club road champs. There are club cups and trophies up for grabs in each grade (each of the boys and girls 9, 11, and 13 grades, junior men and women 16 and 19 grades, senior men and women, masters women 35, masters men 40, and masters men and women 50 -- slightly different from the cross country champs), plus certificates for placegetters. The event is also the last race that is used to determine our inter-club champions and the representative badges for the senior and masters grades, and it is the next club race used to calculate the overall Club Champion trophy (the "Charlie Grant 50th Jubilee Cup"). Every event counts so you need to be there to be in the running!
