Talk by Catherine Quin on the Senshu Marathon 2012 12 Mar 2012.
39 people applied this year to be Wellington's Representative to run the 2012 Senshu International City Marathon in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. Catherine Quin, the lucky winner, was randomly drawn from one of the six shortlisted to be our Wellington Ambassador. Her prize included free travel to Japan, staying three nights in a hotel and three nights in a Japanese homestay plus entry to the Marathon. This wonderful opportunity comes from Wellington's Sister City link with Sakai City.
Catherine will talk about her experiences including the Marathon and her stay in Sakai City at 6.30pm on Tuesday 20th March, 2012 at the WCC, Committeee Meeting Room 2. This will be followed by a drink and nibbles.
This is an opportunity for those who would like to apply in the future to gain an understanding as to what it means to be Wellington's ambassador in Sakai City.
All welcome
For further information please contact Christine Jones (Wellington Sakai Association) christinejones23@xtra.co.nz.
Kevin Pugh from Olympic Harriers was the 2011 representative.
