Club member Susannah Lynch (of St Mary's College) won the 4km junior girls road race at the NZ secondary school champs in Hastings yesterday morning. She just edged out archrival Jean Kozyniak (St Catherine's) for a close win.

Susannah won the Y9 road race last year in Timaru.

In the 1500m, finishing positions were reversed with Susannah (4:54.54) finishing second to Jean (4:52.54). Jean ran a very conservative heat, only qualifying for the final as one of the fastest losers.
