And Then There Were Five 22 Aug 2003.

Dana Hastie at National Cross 2003 Dana Hastie has become the fifth Olympic club member to be selected in the NZ Mountain Running Team to compete at the 2003 World Mountain Running Trophy in Anchorage, Alaska, USA on the 20th September. Dana initially selected as a reserve in the Junior Women's team, replaces one of the girls who has withdrawn. She joins fellow club members, Mike Wakelin and Hayden Prosser, Senior Men and Matthew Prosser and Lyndon McGaughran, Junior Men, in the team that leaves for Alaska on Friday 12 th September. Moana Burt, a club member last season, is also in the Senior Women's team. Moana now lives in Auckland but misses the superior running available in Wellington.
Once again Olympic is contributing a large portion of the NZ team, 5 out of 17. This one short of the 6 who made the team to Austria last year. Surely Olympic can be looked upon as the strongest mountain running club in the world. Is this the start of a dynasty?
