Inaugural Porirua Twilight Half Marathon and 10km Fun Run and Walk 15 Mar 2009.
Information is now available for next month's inaugural Porirua Twilight Half Marathon and 10km Fun Run and Walk to be held on Friday 13th of March:
Start times
There are three start times:
- 5.30pm: half marathon walk
- 6.00pm: half marathon run
- 6.15pm: 10km fun run and walk
Entry Fees
- Half marathon run or walk - registered athlete: $30
- Half marathon run or walk - non-registered athlete: $35
- 10km run run or walk: $15
Wellington champs
This event incorporates the 2009 Athletics Wellington Half Marathon Championships.
Course
10km course: Starts in Wi Neera Drive, and proceeds along Titahi Bay Road to Main Road, Titahi Bay. It then loops through Titahi Bay via Dimock Street, Thornley Street, Main Road, Tireti Road and Te Pene Avenue, to return along Titahi Bay Road. It then travels through Elsdon via Tangare Drive, Ti Hiko Street, Takapuwahia Drive, Kotuku Street and Prosser Street, to finish in Elsdon Park, opposite Porirua School in Awarua Street.
Half Marathon course: Starts in Wi Neera Drive, south of Tutu Place, and describes two laps of the 10km course, returning to the start at the end of lap 1 via the Mega Centre car park and Tutu Place.
The course is measured according to IAAF procedure and AIMS standard.
