Titahi Bay 6Km Handicapped Race Walk organised by Wellington Scottish.
Venue: The race starts and finishes in Tireti Road, near the sea end of Titahi Bay near the Titahi Bay Surf Lifesaving Clubrooms. Follow the Titahi Bay/Main Road until you come to Tireti Road on the left. The course is an out and back 6 KM race, with a slight rise and fall.
Entry fee: $2
Prizes for the first across the line which, with the handicaps could be anyone !

After the race walkers are invited to come to the Titahi Bay Surf Club for afternoon tea and prizegiving.

This is a great 7.75km walk or 9.75km run taking in some of the wonderful tracks in the Eastbourne area at NIGHT!
What so special about this event? You need to go in pairs and you are competing at Night, walking or running only using torch light. Something different for a great night out!

Race description
Walkers :
The start is from the Eastbourne Scout Hall ~ Marine Parade, Eastbourne [beside the yacht club] the race will also finish at the Scout Hall. The race heads from the hall up Rimu Street to Muritai Rd, then along Muritai Rd to the Muritai Park track and up the track to the ridge. From here you follow the track to Butterfly Creek. Then it’s back along the track, taking the Kowhai St route. Once at Kowhai St, you head to the waterfront and then along to finish at the Scout Hall.
Runners :
You take the same track as the walkers until you get to the Bus Shelter / Kowhai St junction at the top of the ridge. From here you follow the Bus Shelter Track down to Muritai Rd, once at the bottom you follow the waterfront to finish at the Scout Hall.

Venue: Wellington Scottish Clubrooms - South end of Wales Park, Salisbury Terrace, Mt Cook
Time: Rolling Start 8am to 9am. Clock stops 12 Noon
Route: You choose the route between the peaks. Do them in any order. Check point at each peak
