Summer run/walk at Mel and Paul’s, 20 Montego Place, Grenada Village, 16 January, 1:45pm
A chance to head off road through the gully over to Belmont Regional Park. 20 Montego Place, Grenada Village, (off Mark Ave, right into Havana Rise, then right into Montego). Park in cul-de-sac. Enjoy a BBQ sausage or two or three or four if you’re Brian. (Sausages/sauce/bread and Mel’s Gourmet Sausage Rolls - Mel and Paul’s shoutJ). If you want Chef Paul  to BBQ something else, feel free to bring along. BYO. If you get lost, ring Mel , and be sure to check out Paul's shed when you get there. 

Colgate Games - Palmerston North

Mikael Starzynki highlighted the boys 14 with wins in the 400m 53.35, 800m 2:03.51 and the long jump 5.93m. Joseph Ayoade won the boys 11 100m 13.29, 400m 60.01 and long jump 4.69m. Mitchell Snell collected the B13 800m in 2:09.10 and the 1500m in 4:28.47. Upper Hutt’s Finn Seeds won the same double in the B12 2:11.87 and 4:31.09 likewise Alex Martin in the B10 in 2:31.10 and 5:05.78 and he also won the 400m in 67.25. Snell also won the high jump 1.65m. Jayden Williamson won the B12 discus throw 39.65m and the high jump 1.66m. Mogammad Smith won the B14 200m in 23.78 (-1.1) having earlier qualifying in 23.40 (+1.2).
Hannah O’Connor won the G14 800m in 2:20.11 and the 1500m in 4:37.23. Briana Irving won the same double in the G13 in 2:20.73 and 4:41.42 as did Ashleigh Gunn in the G12 in 2:29.65 and 5:05.11. Benjamin Wall won the B14 1500m in 4:17.21. Kayla Goodwin had three wins in the G14, the long jump 4.96m, the high jump 1.54m and the 80m hurdles 12.38 (-0.9). Zoe Taylor took out the G14 200m in 27.04 (0.0) and the 400 in 60.13. Nadia Evans dominated the G11 winning the 100m 13.26 (-0.7), the 200m 28.78 (-0.8), the 400m 62.80 and the long jump 4.79m (+2.9). Genna Maples won the G12 100m in 12.85 (-0.7) the 200m in 26.01 (-1.5) and the long jump 4.91m. Olivia Came in the G13 won the 100m in 13.02 (-1.9) and the 200m in 26.51 (-2.9). Aimee-Leigh Scott won the G14 shot put 11.28m and the discus 33.09m. Kaia Tupu-South won the G13 SP 12.50m, DT 40.27m and the HJ 1.50m and was second in the 80m hurdles in 13.33, won by Bernadine Solo in 12.93 (+2.2).
Bradyn Popow won the B12 1200m race walk in 6:14.85. The G14 2000m race walk was won by Hannah Gilberd in 11:46.46 while Olivia Gilberd won the G12 1200m race walk in 7:04.10. Laura Kehely won the G13 1600m race walk in 9:19.45.

Hutt River Trail Events, 23 January
This is an annual 60K Ultra Marathon starting in the Wairarapa, a 42K Marathon from Kaitoke, a 21K Half Marathon from Trentham and a 10K starting from McEwan Park, Petone, with all events ending at McEwan Park, Petone.  These are off-road events, over a variety of surfaces including: bush tracks, grass, gravel and sealed footpaths, and some unsealed vehicle tracks. All of the course is shared with other users, such as runners, walkers, trampers, cyclists and motor vehicles in places. Unusual features include: tunnels, stiles, gateways and zigzags, and one flight of steps.  Details and entry here: http://www.sportsground.co.nz/auroraharriers/88443/

Advance Notice: Around Rarotonga Race
The Round Rarotonga Road Race celebrates its 39th Anniversary with its annual weeklong event from the 22-28 September 2016 held on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga. The event caters for everyone including families, social, recreational and competitive runners and is a fantastic opportunity to combine a holiday with a once in a lifetime sporting achievement.
