A new course based at Alex Moore course and a fine but cool day attracted a good number of competitiors for the annual mixed team's race.
The compulsory walking lap showed up some "interesting" styles and was the subject of much post-race banter with Mike Binkhorst being fastest around the lap on the day.
The short lap for the younger members was taken out in rapid style by Thomas White and Izzy Hegan was fastest on the Single Long lap. The winning team tactically moved their fastest runner, Seamus Kane, to the two lap contest which he duly won and the three lapper was won by Butch Borlase, making a welcome return to competition.
Lately it seems that if you want to win the Philp Shield, you want to be in Graeme Moss's team. It was three years out of four for him and a great effort from all of his team mates.
